Keep those feet warm!

Learn to knit your skills.  Two workshops in February.

Training Wheels for New Sock Knitters is for someone who has never knit socks.  We work on larger size needles with thicker yarn working out way through the basic parts of a sock.

In Socks 101 we'll drop down to smaller needles and use sock yarn and work a basic top down sock pattern over two weeks.

Classes are $25 or one class from your selected discount package per two hour session.  Supplies are extra.  Purchase your own or ask me for assistance.

Need more info?  Just ask.

Drop Spindle for Beginners

Discover a new skill and join a 40,000 year-old textile tradition.

Saturday, January 9 from 1 - 3 pm

$25 or one class from your class package.
Pre-purchase required supplies - Handcrafted drop spindle and roving prepped and ready to spin $16.00
No refunds on supplies.  No cancellations.

If you are interested in a class like this, let me know and we'll schedule another.

Learn how to make your own yarn!

In this two-hour workshop, you will learn:

How to spin wool on a drop spindle to create your very own thick-and-thin novelty yarn.

Techniques for plying your yarn.

Your hands-on experience will be punctuated by short talks on different types of spinning fibers and demonstrations of spinning equipment.

Guest instructor Elisa Eiger learned to spin 16 years ago and hasn't stopped since. Although she currently has seven spinning wheels, much of her spinning is done on drop spindles, particularly whichever spindle happens to be living in her handbag at the time. She teaches spinning, dyeing, weaving, tatting, beading, and a number of other crafts, and demonstrates these and bobbin-lacemaking at local museums. She is currently co-president of Jockey Hollow Weavers Guild (Mendham, NJ) and president of the MidAtlantic Fiber Association (MAFA).

A class list is finalizing.  Add your name to it today!
