Fair Isle

Fair Isle Class this coming Thursday, May 7 from 1:30 - 3:30 pm or 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

Fair Isle is color work knitting in which the stitches are worked in two colors in each row with stranding or floats on the wrong side. A Fair Isle project can be worked in two or more colors overall.

If you are interested, let me know. There's a supply list and class preparation (about 1/2 hour of work).

Jumbo 7 - CYC's new yarn weight

To include a variety of super thick yarns introduced to the marketplace, the Craft Yarn Council has added a new yarn weight category - Jumbo Yarn Weight #7.
The goal with this change is to make it easier for crocheters and knitters to understand the type of fabric these Jumbo yarns create and the range of hooks and needles generally required.
Also take note that there are slight gauge changes for Super Bulky Yarn Weight #6.

DMC Fashion Show at VKL NYC

Come to the DMC Fashion Show to be held at 11:15 am at Vogue Knitting Live NYC.  The stage is on the 6th floor.

Three pieces I designed are walking the runway and I had a part in organizing and preparing 25 garments featured plus in writing the script -- an all around excellent experience.

Thanks DMC!
