Journal of Events Attended
The event has grown over the years and includes many more quality vendors. I am now the proud owner of a free trade basket from Ghana, three pastel dyed skeins of greenspun ragg yarn, hand dyed sock yarn with matching crochet shawl pattern, a nostepinne and a key chain wraps per inch tool both handmade from cherry wood.
We ate delicious homemade chili and sweet corn at the 4-H tent. For our afternoon treat, we enjoyed two scoops of organic, homemade ice cream from Maine. I recommend the Maple Walnut.
Yes, I would go back next year. It has all the ambiance of Rhinebeck without the crushing crowds.
September 20, 2014: Ingrid N. and I attended the Smiley's Yarn Hotel Sale held at the Holiday Inn in Hasbrouck Heights. There was a wide assortment of yarns priced from $1 - $3 per skein available in a full assortment of fibers.
